I recently stayed at a lovely clean house in Windsor with a group of friends. The kitchen was spacious and had all modern appliances. Tea and coffee were provided, which was a nice touch. Access to the house was easy with the key being in a safe box. Elvis, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful and always available to answer our questions. He even arranged two parking permits for us at a reasonable cost, making it easy to park our cars right by the property. The beds were really comfy, and the shower in the downstairs bathroom was great. Despite the spiral staircase being a bit tight, we managed just fine. The fans provided were much appreciated during the hot weather, and the little patio off one of the bedrooms was a bonus. this property was perfect for our short stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is very close to the famous Windsor Castle and just a short walk away. the spacious living room, kitchen, and shower room downstairs are well equipped and clean. the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable, with some having en, suite toilets and basins. the hosts are extremely helpful and communicative, ensuring a hassle, free stay. the host even provided parking permits, making it convenient to find a space outside the hotel.

The hotel is located near a late, night club, resulting in loud music until the early hours of the morning.

While the Retreat In Shadow Of The Castle was overall a fantastic place to stay, there were some minor drawbacks. The en-suite toilet on the second floor was extremely small and not easy to access.
